Have you ever finished a book that was so good, you couldn't move on to another? If so, you've likely experienced a book hangover. A common affliction among avid readers, book hangovers can be emotionally distressing to say the least. Symptoms can vary between spontaneous fits of sobbing to repeatedly shouting the word "why." For me, book hangover always brought me to don't want to open any other book and just thinking about how miserable my life was because there is no book as good as the last one. and its depressing really! some day i don't read for weeks, some for days, and i hate it.

I always find a way to recover, here's a few ways to cope (I got it from goodreads)

1. "When the grief is overwhelming, I just turn back to the beginning and read it all over again," says Sanna.

All this time, I still did this! setelah baca buku yang bener-bener B A G U S banget pasti kalo belum sanggup untuk move on I reread the book from the beginning, once its happened for a whole week! 2. "I try to switch genres or pick up a light read. If all else fails, I marathon a T.V. series and let the book hunger build up again," says Rebecca.

I TOO DID THIS! well sometimes i rewatch Greys Anatomy from Season 1 or Reply 1988 (K-Drama) that was so good sometimes i drained myself from crying. 3. "Writing a review, telling my friends about it, or journaling can help process what made it so impactful. What's at the center of that emotional core, and how can I apply it to my life?" says Melissa.

Ini sih yang paling masuk akal, maksudnya how to cope with problem adalah ya begini, you look for the problem core, ada apa sih sebenernya? kenapa sih? gimana cara berdamai dengan masalah ini. But its always to speak than apply it in real life ya know? 4. "I actually take a break from reading. I won't pick up another book for a few days," says Jessica.

THIS IS ME! i've told you from the beginning, gue tuh ya gini, ga baca buku buat beberapa lama, sometimes it last for a day, a week its miserable and i hate it, i kept thinking "akankah suatu saat gue lelah baca buku sampe ga baca setahun? berbulan-bulan?" I don't see myself not reading a book so this thought are killing me. 5. "Pick up a book of short stories, poetry, or essays so it's less of a commitment before finding the next great novel," says Jen.

umm, never done this before but its worth to try ;) 6. "This might sound really bad, but in order to move on from a book I'm having a hard time letting go, I read a few bad reviews. It helps to put things in perspective," says Leslie.

i never did this, because i do not want to ruin my perfect perspective for books that i love. 7. "Read some fanfiction," says Charlotte.

I did this once and only once karena bukunya worth to read the fancfiction, well fyi i'm not big on fanfiction, because sometimes fanfict tuh ga masuk akal dan apaya too cheesy for me. Satu-satunya buku (or should I say series?) yang sampe gue cari-cari kemana fanfict nya itu Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo. and its legit worth it! 8. "I like to reread my favorite parts and if there’s a good movie adaptation or a modern retelling, I go for it." says Erin.

SO ME! i reread my favorite parts! biasanya gue bookmarks, jadi salah satu tolak ukur 'kebagusan' suatu buku bagi gue adalah banyak tidaknya bookmarks. the more the better. 9. "I listen to bookish podcasts," says Yanira. i just knew there is a bookish podcast!

10."As I get down to the last five chapters or so, I start the next book hunt," says Maureen.

well, i never done this because mostly gue baca 1 buku tuh kaya cuma 1 hari paling lama. jadi ga sempet untuk book hunt apalagi sadar kalo itu buku tinggal 5 chapter lagi atau ngga. 11. "I immediately look for something else written by the author," says Edwin.

and i did this too. sometimes my go-to books are Sempre by J.M Darhower, The Silent Waters by Brittainy C. Cherry, The Wall of Winnipeg and Me by Mariana Zapata, The Bird and The Sword by Amy Harmon, (but basically all Amy Harmon books), or you can just check my 6-Stars book shelves since i reread all of them all the time!

xx 13. "I go and get a real hangover," says Steve.
